So far all is well, QM 2 is a nice ship but a bit staid and has a high opinion of itself, not quite justified, we had to move from our original cabin 2260 due to unnaceptable noise from the galley above, with moving furniture and on the second night a problem with one of the steam pipes caused additional noise. We eventually had to complain and we were moved to another cabin 2288, only about 10 cabins along but much better, a decent nights unbroken sleep finally on the 3rd night. Food not too bad and the company round the dinner table not too bad either, most evenings after dinner we went to the theatre then as all the shops were closed went to our cabin.

On Sunday 25th November we got up early 04.30 to go on deck in the absolutely freezing wind to see the sailing into New York, still dark but the Statue of Liberty was all lit up and the NY skyline was as well, I will upload the photos later. Cleared out of out cabin by 08.00 and although we had priority disembarkation due at 08.15 due to a problem with offloading the baggage we did not get off until 10.15 then queued for immigration but got through without too much delay to meet the Cruise 1st rep to transfer to Anthem of the Seas totally useless woman named Erica, who instead of waiting at the terminal exit waited by the coach to far away for us to see her, and we had to rely on other reps to direct us, because of that it took almost 90mns to round up the other 15 passengers and start our journey. Nil Points for transfer efficiency.
